This is The Challenger HO Scale Electric Train Set by Bachmann Trains. Includes: EMD F9 Union Pacific locomotive and 3 freight cars. E-Z Track snap-fit track (with steel rail) and gray roadbed system:makes a 36″ circle; eleven 18″ radius curved, one 18″ radius curved terminal rerailer and power supply.Finally there is a HO scale electric train set for the ignorant among us. This set of 4 cars and 12 curved pieces snaps together to create an electric track. It requires a little patience creating a layout and connecting the track pieces, but not a degree in electrical engineering. The pre-wired track hooks up to a special power pack transformer to control the speed of the pre-assembled cars (diagrams included for repairs). Afterwards, it becomes a long-lasting, truly plug-and-play toy. Additional track and cars are available from the manufacturer or popular hobby shops. My 9 year old son loves the train set. He paid with his own money and has already bought more track and switches. The EasyTrack has a draw back, it is more expensive that regular track, but does look more like a real teack bed.

He loves the train, plays with it for hours and has plans to fill the whole house with trains and track.

We wanted to put a train around the tree and surprise our 4.75 and 2.5 yr old boys on Christmas morning. The assembly was super easy but the train jumps the track kind of easily. When you turn on the engine it starts moving quickly right away and to switch it off you have to grab it off the tracks while it’s in motion. The cars are large but not durable. Something broke off the coal car pretty quickly. We have packed it away and will be considering spending a little more on a better product next year.
